In kids' football, there's an exciting development: the Funino Festival League. This league format stands out from traditional football leagues with its tournament structure, offering numerous benefits for young talents.

What is Funino?

Funino is a child-friendly football variant played on smaller pitches with fewer players. The goal is to give children more ball contact and fun, thereby enhancing their technical skills.

  • Rotation and Fairness: The format ensures all children are equally involved. Short games and frequent substitutions mean all players get ample time on the field, regardless of their skill level.

  • Game Atmosphere: The environment at a funino festival is less competitive and more focused on fun and development. There are no tables or rankings that could pressure the children.

  • Variety and Learning: The multitude of short games against different opponents allows children to experience various playing styles and strategies, fostering adaptability and a deeper understanding of the game.

The Funino Festival League: An Overview

The funino festival league, also known as the kids' festival league or mini football league, offers a new way of organising matches for children's football teams. Instead of traditional single match pairings, each match day features a festival where several teams gather to play numerous short games.

Advantages of the Tournament Format:

  • Hosts and Guest Clubs: Each match day is organised by a host club that runs the funino festival. Several guest clubs participate and bring their teams.

  • Multiple Games per Match Day: Instead of a single game per match day, as in classic football leagues, a funino festival features a series of games. Children play multiple short games in succession against various teams, providing more playtime and variety.
