Omar recently spent time in Saudi Arabia, where he explored the youth departments of an amateur club and a second division club. The country has made headlines by signing high-profile players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Karim Benzema and is now aiming to expand its youth football infrastructure. Omar notes: "The Saudis are very ambitious in their football projects and are heavily investing in the top tier. Now, they also want to improve their youth programmes. There is great potential for growth."

Founded in 1984 by Wiel Coerver, Alfred Galustian, and Charlie Cooke, Coerver Coaching places a strong emphasis on technical skills rather than physical and tactical training. This methodology has been adopted by top clubs and professional players worldwide. Omar explains: "We focus on the technical aspect because that is our expertise. The foundation of a good player is their technical ability with the ball."

Training Structure: Building Skills Step by Step

Coerver Coaching training sessions follow a structured approach, starting with basic ball control and progressing to advanced techniques and game situations. "Our training pyramid starts with ball mastery and gradually integrates more complex skills and game situations," Omar elaborates. This method ensures that players develop a comprehensive skill set that prepares them for competitive play.
