BFV indoor guidelines
For futsal and private indoor tournaments

The staging of indoor tournaments, whether they are Futsal tournaments or private indoor tournaments, is an exciting event for both players and fans alike. However, for everything to run smoothly, organisers and participants alike must be familiar with and adhere to the indoor guidelines set out by the Bavarian Football Association (BFV). These are based on the rules of FIFA, the DFB Futsal regulations, as well as the provisions of the statutes and regulations of the BFV. These guidelines ensure fair and uniform conditions at every tournament.
Tournament Mode
Each tournament follows a clear schedule, which is determined in advance. This schedule includes the sequence of games, possible tiebreakers, extensions, and penalty shootouts. The precise configuration of the tournament process is in the hands of the organising club, the association organ, or the territorial entity, in close cooperation with the BFV.
Conducting Tournaments
The tournament management, which should consist of at least three persons, bears the responsibility for the conduct of the tournament. In official championships of the BFV, a representative of the association is also present. In the event that important information cannot be captured in the club tournament module, match report forms and result lists must be submitted to the BFV afterwards. The provision of medical care during the tournament is also important.
Referee Expense Regulation
Referees receive an allowance, which is calculated according to the SR expense ordinance. The amount of compensation varies depending on the area of deployment of the referees, with a distinction being made between juniors and adults. The exact accounting is done according to the actual time spent.
Teams
The number of players per team is precisely defined, as is the number of players who may be on the field at the same time. The maximum number of players per team must also be stated in the tournament announcement. Important aspects such as substituting players and the composition of the substitute bench are detailed in the guidelines.
Playing Times
The playing time varies according to age class and ranges from 2 x 7 minutes for the youngest players to 2 x 20 minutes for adults. The last playing minute is played as net playing time. Tournament organisers have the freedom to set shorter playing times, as long as they are at least 10 minutes. In addition, teams can request a time-out of one minute per half of the game. Adherence to the BFV indoor guidelines ensures a fair and organisationally smooth tournament experience. They cover all important aspects of tournament planning through to execution and ensure that all participants compete under the same conditions. By adhering to these guidelines, organisers, teams, and referees can contribute to making every indoor tournament a complete success.
